Lomita : Hearing on Frontage Bill

Share

A public hearing will be held Dec. 15 on a controversial ordinance that would require that all lots have at least 50 feet of frontage on a public thoroughfare.

Councilman Charles Belba has long opposed the restriction, claiming that it would severely limit a developer’s options. He has also expressed concern that the ordinance might turn many existing lots into nonconforming properties, harming their resale value.

The ordinance is championed by Councilman Pete Rossick, a former planning commissioner, who said it would provide more uniformity in city codes.
