A sharply divided federal appeals court refused to reconsider a $200,000 judgment won by evangelist Jerry Falwell against Hustler magazine Publisher Larry Flynt. Dissenting judges in the 6-5 decision of the full U.S. 4th Circuit Court of Appeals in Richmond, Va., warned that the case could inhibit freedom of expression.
