West Hollywood : Renewal Agency Under Study
- Share via
The City Council has hired a consulting firm to determine whether the city needs a redevelopment agency to improve the business climate on West Hollywood’s east side.
In the next four months, Los Angeles-based Economics Research Associates will develop a commercial profile of the city and put together a five-year economic development program. The cost of the study is $27,500.
Formation of a redevelopment agency is the latest recommendation for dealing with the future of the city’s eastern business district, which stretches along Santa Monica Boulevard from Fairfax Avenue to LaBrea Avenue.
Currently, the city is managing a $117,000 revitalization program aimed at providing limited financial assistance to businesses on the east side.
