Because fire sprinkler heads were simply glued to the ceiling of a school chapel instead of being connected to a water pipe system, a Monterey Peninsula contractor has been sentenced to a three-year state prison term by a Superior Court judge in Salinas. Dennis Frye, 41, claimed the faulty installation was done without his knowledge by two former employees.
