Downtown Streets, Bus Lines Rerouted

Share

If you’re coming downtown today, you might want to leave a bit early.

Traffic on several streets has been rerouted in preparation for construction of the first phase of the Los Angeles Metro Rail project--and the disruption is expected to continue for the next three years, or so.

On Sunday, a dozen blocks of Hill Street, between Temple and 12th streets, were made one-way southbound.

At the same time, Southern California Rapid Transit District bus routes that serve an estimated 43,000 riders daily were rerouted and 44 bus stops relocated in order to relieve expected congestion in the construction zone.
