The U.S. Olympic Committee voted to make Anchorage, Alaska, its representative in the international competition to host the 1994 Winter Olympics.
The USOC’s 86-member executive board, meeting in Sparks, Nev., also approved Colorado Springs, Colo., as the site of an Olympic Hall of Fame.
Also, Oklahoma City, Okla., was selected as the site of the 1989 U.S. Olympic Festival.
