Peace March

The Times, especially staff writer Kathleen Hendrix, is to be commended for the sensitive coverage of the Great Peace March.
The marchers who left Los Angeles on March 1 and arrived in Washington, D.C., on Nov. 15, true to their goal, accomplished an amazing adventure. The physical ordeal, the personal conflicts, the triumphs and despairs, were well recorded. Only time will tell the impact of their extraordinary efforts toward world peace.
Our daughter was one of those stout hearts who stayed with the march to Utah where she tragically died as a result of an automobile accident. We know she would have made it all the way.
Congratulations are in order to the marchers and supporters from Los Angeles and across the country, on behalf of all of us who believe in their cause, and we personally thank them for their sympathy, prayers, and words of encouragement concerning our daughter’s contribution.
