Seal Beach : Motorcyclist Killed on Freeway Interchange
A 19-year-old Lakewood man was killed early Saturday when his motorcycle went out of control on the transition road between the northbound San Diego (405) and San Gabriel River (605) freeways.
A California Highway Patrol spokesman said the man’s motorcycle apparently hit the left shoulder and swerved across two lanes of traffic before hitting a ditch on the right side of the road. The man was thrown from the motorcycle when it lost a wheel and was killed when the bike landed on top of him, according to the CHP.
The man’s name was being withheld pending notification of his family, according to a spokesman for the Orange County coroner’s office.
