Greek Temple

Share

This letter is in response to your article (Nov. 16) about the building of an aluminum plant near the Greek temple at Delphi. We, the sixth grade at Cathedral Chapel Elementary School, have recently completed a study of ancient Greek civilization. The Temple of Apollo has been standing for centuries. In our studies we developed a respect for things that have survived from generation to generation. This temple and its surroundings are part of our history.

We feel that the aluminum plant will bring money and jobs, but it may also heavily damage the environment and endanger these Greek ruins.

It is our opinion that the aluminum plant should be built some other place.
