Local News in Brief : Spilled Concrete Slabs Snarl Rush-Hour Traffic on Freeway
A truck loaded with concrete slabs overturned Wednesday morning on the connector from the northbound San Diego Freeway to the eastbound Ventura Freeway, snarling rush-hour traffic for nearly three hours, the California Highway Patrol reported.
There were no injuries in the 8:10 a.m. crash, Officer Lujuanna Lopez said. The connector was closed until about 10:40 a.m., when state Department of Transportation crews finished clearing the roadway of five triangular slabs of concrete, she said.
