Rehe, Bassett Reach Semifinals

RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. —
Stephanie Rehe defeated Mary Joe Fernandez, 7-5, 1-6, 6-3, Friday to advance to a semifinal-round match against Martina Navratilova today in the $250,000 Lynda Carter-Maybelline Tennis Challenge at Mission Hills Country Club.
Carling Bassett of Canada beat Bonnie Gadusek, 6-1, 6-3, and will play Chris Evert Lloyd in the other semifinal. The winners will meet Sunday for a first prize of $110,000.
