A Carson youth was killed by a shotgun blast when he refused to let his customized car be stolen. Police said Tamboura Hines, 16, and a friend, Laval Collins, 16, were stopped for a traffic light at Rosecrans Avenue and Figueroa Street, when two men approached and ordered the boys out. When they refused, officers said, Hines was shot and the attackers fled.
