San Diego State Women Lose to USC, 90-77

Karon Howell made 11 of 17 shots from the field and scored 24 points, and Cherie Nelson and Monica Lamb added 18 points each off the bench as the sixth-ranked USC women’s basketball team defeated San Diego State, 90-77, Tuesday night at the Sports Arena.
The Trojans (5-1) shot 62% from the field in the first half, taking a 48-34 lead at the intermission.
Jessica Haynes had a game-high 27 points for San Diego State (1-4).
