Gen. Bernard W. Rogers, commander of North Atlantic Treaty Organization forces, said he will probably be forced by the White House to retire in June, despite strong support from Western Europe that he be reappointed for another two years. The 65-year-old Rogers, a four-star general who is in his seventh year as NATO chief, has been critical of the U.S. stance in nuclear arms negotiations. Administration officials have previously said that President Reagan, who has twice reappointed Rogers, will name a replacement next year.
