A Santee man, who allegedly forced his 14-year-old son to take drugs and have sex with a woman, has been arrested by sheriff’s deputies after a complaint from the boy’s older sister.

Clifford Wimberly, 36, was being held Thursday at County Jail on suspicion of more than 300 counts of child molestation, child endangerment, narcotics violations, child pornography and other sex-related crimes. He is scheduled to be arraigned today.

Wimberly’s wife, Victoria, 35, was being held at Las Colinas County Jail on suspicion of child endangerment, contributing to a delinquency of a minor and furnishing narcotics to a minor, said Sgt. Ron Cottingham of the sheriff’s child abuse unit.

Clifford Wimberly was being held in lieu of more than $2 million bail, and Victoria Wimberly was being held in lieu of $11,000 bail.

The investigation began last Friday afternoon when the couple’s 16-year-old daughter went to the sheriff’s substation in Santee, turned over pictures of her younger brother having sex with a woman and told deputies that, “Instead of buying food and paying for utilities at the house, they (the parents) were using money to buy narcotics and alcohol for themselves, and leaving the kids alone for long periods of time,” Cottingham said. The couple has two children.

The teen-agers were immediately placed in protective custody.

On Tuesday, a search warrant was executed at the Wimberly home after deputies, who had staked out the dwelling over the weekend, told detectives that the couple had returned from Victorville, Cottingham said. When deputies arrived, they found the couple leaving in a car and arrested the two about a block away, Cottingham said.

Inside the vehicle, detectives said, they confiscated nude pictures of a boy sexually involved with a woman.

While searching the house, detectives discovered photographs of the parents engaging in sex with other people, numerous sexual devices and a white powdery substance that is being analyzed, deputies said.

Authorities said that for three years, the boy’s father allegedly took him to a motel where he forced him to take uncontrolled substances to “soften his resistance” and made the youngster have sex with a woman.

Deputies found out who the woman was and issued a search warrant for her home, where they seized nude pictures of the woman with other men and a “duffel bag full of sex paraphernalia,” Cottingham said.

She was not identified, pending further investigation.

According to Cottingham, Victoria Wimberly said she had no idea of the alleged relationship between her son and the woman.
