Weather Outlook Nice and Dull
Southern California weather looks unexciting for the next few days: No rain. No snow. No howling desert winds.
If you want that kind of thing, go someplace else.
Other than a little high cloudiness and some patchy fog or low clouds along the coast during the mornings and evenings, the National Weather Service says, Southland skies should be fair through the weekend.
A weak low-pressure trough is expected to move in over the state today, causing a high-pressure area over Utah to weaken and allowing a stronger onshore flow over the Southern California coast.
High temperatures today and during the weekend should be in the 60s along the coast and in the valleys, in the 40s or low 50s at Southland mountain resorts, in the 50s throughout the northern deserts and in the 60s in the south.
There may be occasional six-foot breakers on west-facing beaches in the Ventura and San Diego areas the next day or so, but the surf should be only 1 to 2 feet at Zuma Beach, 2 to 3 feet along Santa Monica Bay and in Orange County.
