Fond Remembrances of Actor Cary Grant

I gave Cary Grant a parking ticket . . . illegally parked in a red zone in front of the Pasadena Civic Auditorium (someone inside had told him it was OK). At the time I gave the ticket he was not in the car but, as I was walking by to cite other vehicles sometime later, this voice said, “Hello there, young lady. I believe you gave me a ticket.” A more gracious and charming man couldn’t be found. We talked for 20 minutes. It was only afterwards that I thought I should have had him autograph the ticket.
