Clouds Block View of Mt. St. Helens as Tourist Spot Opens

SILVERLAKE, Wash. — Cloud cover prevented weekend visitors near Mt. St. Helens from seeing the volcano outside the new tourist center.
Visitors to the $5.3-million center, which was dedicated Saturday, instead toured a walk-through model of the volcano’s red-hot interior.
