Lynn Stiles Named Cal Defensive Coordinator

BERKELEY —
Lynn Stiles, a former head coach at San Jose State and an assistant with the Philadelphia Eagles for several years, has been hired as California’s defensive coordinator, Coach Bruce Snyder announced Thursday.
At San Jose State, Stiles won a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. title in 1976 and he had a three-year record of 18-16. He joined the Eagles’ staff in 1979 and was with the team as a coach and as player personnel director until last spring.
