Casey Reported Still in Stable Condition
CIA Director William J. Casey remained in stable condition Monday in Georgetown University Hospital after surgery for a brain tumor.
The 73-year-old Casey’s condition had been unchanged since he emerged from more than five hours of surgery Thursday during which doctors removed a tumor identified as a lymphoma from his brain, said Robin Payes, a hospital spokeswoman.
Casey had been scheduled to testify last week before a congressional panel investigating U.S. arms sales to Iran. But the appearance was canceled when he suffered a brain seizure.
