Four Players Each Win $238,329 in State Lotto Game

Four bettors, two from San Francisco and two from the Southland, hit the five-of-six plus bonus number to win $238,329 each in the California Lottery 6-49 Lotto game, a spokesman said Sunday.

No one picked all six numbers and the top prize jackpot of $3.2 million will be rolled into next week’s game, when the jackpot should exceed $6 million.

Names of the four winners in the five-of-six category will not be available until the winners turn in their tickets.

The Lotto computer showed that the winning tickets were purchased at Ping Yuen drugstore, 1109 Grant Ave., and Best Food Co., 1262 Stockton Street, both in San Francisco; Hunny’s Restaurant, 203 W. 6th St., Corona; and, Villa Market, 2990 Santa Fe in Long Beach.

Another 122 people picked five without the bonus and won $4,025 each; 9,352 picked four numbers to win $47 each, and, 179,085 picked three numbers to win $5 each.

LOTTERY WINNERS

Jackpot Lotto winners are selected each Saturday night. Ticket holders are eligible for a grand prize that varies according to the amount bet last week. If no one wins the jackpot, the total is automatically added to the following week’s prize.

Holders of tickets with five of the six winning jackpot numbers plus a “bonus number” are eligible for a smaller prize.
