United Jet Lands Safely as Hydraulic System Fails

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. —
A United Airlines jet carrying 40 passengers made a safe emergency landing Wednesday at Little Rock Regional Airport when a hydraulic system failed shortly after takeoff, officials said. The pilot of Flight 251 to Tulsa, Okla., lowered the landing gear manually. No injuries were reported.
