Jan. 25--Super Bowl XXI’s half-time show salutes the Hollywood Centennial.
Feb. 1--A star honoring Natalie Wood will be placed in the Walk of Fame in front of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. A reception in the hotel follows, during which a centennial time capsule--filled with 100 items unique to Hollywood--will be unveiled.
March--The California Lottery will issue game tickets with a Hollywood theme.
May--An old-fashioned world premiere will be held in Hollywood.
June 4--”Luncheon With the Stars” in the Blossom Room of the Hollywood Roosevelt.
--A revival of the Hollywood Canteen at the Bob Hope USO will re-create the days when
stars entertained members of the armed forces during World War II. June 5--Hollywood block party. Dancing on the corner of Hollywood and Vine.
June 6--Hollywood 100 Pro-Celebrity Tennis Tournament.
--Lalo Schifrin will conduct a 100-piece centennial orchestra at the Hollywood Bowl. June 7--The 100 Faces Dinner and Gala, followed by fireworks and a laser show at the Hollywood sign.
