Saudis, Egypt in First Military Talks Since ’79

CAIRO —
For the first time since the Arab world broke ties with Egypt to protest its peace treaty with Israel in 1979, Saudi Arabian officials arrived in Cairo on Sunday for military talks between the two countries.
The state-run Middle East News Agency said the Saudi delegation, led by Malek Abdel-Hafiz Malek.
