Santa Ana : Day in Court Delayed for Taylor Bus Service
A hearing on a request by Taylor Bus Service Inc. to avert threatened cancellation of its insurance was delayed until Monday, a Superior Court judge decided Thursday.
Judge Gary L. Taylor agreed to the delay requested by Nationwide Mutual Insurance Co. in order to give the insurance carrier’s attorneys more time to prepare their case.
Taylor, an Anaheim-based transportation company that contracts to provide bus service to 100 California school districts, faces cancellation of its primary liability insurance coverage next Thursday.
Lawyers for Taylor have claimed that the dispute centers on a $27,000 premium payment. But Nationwide attorneys said the bus firm has failed to keep a promise to provide proof that it has the financial ability to pay premiums for the balance of the school year.
