Marcos Denies Any Role in Sale of Arms to Iran

Former Philippine President Ferdinand E. Marcos on Tuesday denied reports that he or members of his staff were involved in providing documents to disguise the U.S. sale of arms to Iran. Marcos, interviewed at his home in Honolulu on ABC-TV’s “Nightline,” said the whole story of possible Philippine involvement in the arms deal is “manufactured, fabricated and libelous.”
