Suspected radicals hurled Molotov cocktails Wednesday at riot police guarding a construction site at Tokyo’s international airport at Narita, injuring three officers, police said. The Kyodo News Service said that about 30 men riding in four trucks were involved in the incident.

Narita is the site of frequent protests by left-wing radicals who oppose expansion of the airport. Construction to expand the facility began last November.
