Ted Tollner, former USC football coach, returned from Buffalo, N.Y, where he was interviewed for an assistant’s job with the Buffalo Bills, without having reached a decision on his future.

“I looked at the situation and liked it, but I’m not at a decision point,” he said. “I’m just trying to find out the best direction for me to go.”

Tollner, who was fired by the Trojans Dec. 8, also said that he has been contacted by Hawaii Athletic Director Stan Sheriff about becoming a candidate for that school’s coaching job, which became available when Dick Tomey took the position at Arizona.
