A BREWING BATTLE

Harmon’s personal manager for eight years, Neil Koenigsberg, has departed the high-powered P.R. firm PMK (for Pickwick/Maslansky/Koenigsberg) to form his own personal management company: “I’m taking my Rolodex and Mark Harmon.”

It leaves PMK the only such firm of its size in the entertainment biz to be headed by women. Koenigsberg assured us that his 40 PMK publicity clients--Harmon, Richard Chamberlain, Tom Hanks, Ted Danson, Jeff Bridges, etc.--won’t take their publicity elsewhere.

The company, now with 100 clients, a staff of 35 and offices in L.A. and NYC, resulted from a merger five years ago between a firm formed by Koenigsberg and Michael Maslansky and Pickwick P.R., owned by Pat Kingsley and Lois Smith. Smith and Leslee Dart have been running the NYC office and will be Kingsley’s partners.

Although Maslansky previously left the firm--due to a stroke, suffered three years ago--no new name for PMK is contemplated at this time, Smith said.
