Sally Blanco of Hacienda Heights has been elected to the Rancho Los Amigos Foundation Board of Directors in Downey. Blanco previously served as supervisor of the Los Angeles County Hospital Commission. She also is a member of the Hacienda Heights YWCA Board of Directors and serves on the Puente Hills programming board of United Cable Television of Los Angeles County.

Dorothy Bordenave of Diamond Bar has been reappointed to a one-year term on the Diamond Bar Regional Library Council by Supervisor Pete Schabarum. Bordenave graduated from Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut. The council advises the Board of Supervisors and county librarian on policy, administration, operation and services.

Dr. Gerald B. Hackett Jr., director of Equine Research at Cal Poly Pomona, has been elected to a three-year term on the Southern California Veterinary Medical Assn. Board of Trustees. Hackett lives in Chino.
