Warmer Times Being Predicted
Frosty temperatures are expected to continue to thaw today as low pressures move east, breaking up the “Yukon Express” that has been chilling San Diego County since Thursday.
National Weather Service forecaster Harvey Hastrup said temperatures will continue to be slightly below normal today but will rise two to three degrees, day and night, the next few days.
At its coldest, the arctic air Saturday morning brought temperatures down to 36 degrees at Lindbergh Field. The coldest daytime high of the cold snap was 53 degrees on Friday. It tied the record set on Jan. 16, 1888.
