The archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church in Nicaragua was robbed and threatened by two armed gunmen while in the Miami area on church business, police said. Cardinal Miguel Obando y Bravo, archbishop of Managua, was at the home of a friend in Kendall when two gunmen forced their way in, tied up the archbishop and six others in the house and robbed them, said Metro-Dade police spokeswoman Lucy Fitz. Obando, who was in the Miami area to attend a religious meeting, was robbed of some personal documents, while money and jewelry were taken from the other victims, police said.
