FIFA, the international governing body of soccer, will donate $1.3 million for aid to victims of the earthquakes that hit Mexico City in September 1985.
FIFA president Joao Havelange will present the money to Mexican President Miguel de la Madrid today.
The money was taken partly from the profits at last year’s World Cup tournament held in Mexico and partly from a benefit soccer game at the Rose Bowl.
