Poppy Crop Rise Expected

BANGKOK, Thailand —
Warlord Khun Sa, who taxes opium caravans crossing the mountainous region in Burma that his private army controls, expects opium poppy production in the Burmese part of the Golden Triangle drug region to rise by 50% this year.
