SON OF STORE
Larry Edmunds’ Book Shop, a Hollywood Boulevard landmark for nearly 50 years as a source of almost every play or book about theater and film, will soon become a “chainlet,” according to partner Phil Lubovisky. The sequel store will open Feb. 2 at 11969 Ventura Blvd. in Studio City.
“We had never really thought too much about (a second store),” said Lubovisky. “But the Actors Center of Los Angeles, the main tenant of the new building, asked us to consider building a shop there. We decided to try it.”
Lubovisky said Edmunds II will keep the theater-and-film-books-only faith but may only be open a couple of evenings a week.
