Little Steven (a.k.a. Miami Steve Van Zandt), the driving force behind last year’s Artists Against Apartheid project, is resurfacing this spring with an album of his own. Called “Freedom--No Compromise,” the record will feature more politicized anthems, including a duet with former E Street Band-mate Bruce Springsteen called “I am a Native American.” Other songs include “Trail of Broken Treaties,” “No More Parties” and a duet with Little Steven and Ruben Blades about migrant workers called “Bitter Fruit.” The album is due out March 20 on Manhattan Records.
