Los Angeles-based United States Borax & Chemical Corp. elected Robert E. Kendall president, succeeding Carl L. Randolph, who will retire from the post but still continue as vice chairman. U.S. Borax is a subsidiary of Rio Tinto-Zinc Corp. of London.
