A former member of the radical Weatherman group pleaded not guilty in Seattle to federal conspiracy and firearms charges. Silas Trim Bissell, 44, fled Seattle in 1970 after being charged with conspiring to damage federal property by placing a bomb at the ROTC building on the University of Washington campus. The bomb never went off. U.S. Magistrate John Weinberg set bail at $95,000 and said that Bissell would be allowed to return to his Eugene, Ore., home once bail was posted.
