NFL Commissioner Pete Rozelle put an emphatic end to overtures between the Atlanta Falcons and the agent for New York Giant Coach Bill Parcells.

Rozelle, speaking at a news conference at the Pro Bowl in Honolulu, confirmed that Robert Fraley, Parcells’ agent, had called him Thursday after New York General Manager George Young had denied him permission to talk to the Falcons about a job as coach and general manager. Rozelle said of the Giants’ refusal: “That ended it.”
