Police, using information supplied by witnesses, arrested two Santa Ana laborers Saturday on suspicion of fatally shooting a man in a Fairview Street bar eight days ago.

Gaudencio Estrada, 21, and Jose M. Pineda, 22, were taken into custody Saturday morning when detectives tracked the car reportedly driven from the shooting. Witnesses provided a description of the car after the shooting on Jan. 23 at the Red Turtle Bar, 1019 S. Fairview Road, Sgt. Don Robertson said.

Shortly before 6 p.m. that night, Luis Vasquez, 22, was shot twice in the head during what police believe was an argument at the bar, Robertson said. Estrada is believed to have fired the fatal shots, and Pineda allegedly drove the getaway car, Robertson said.
