Abel E. Morales, an independent fee real estate appraiser in Arcadia, has been elected president of the Los Angeles chapter of the American Society of Appraisers. Among the chapter’s other newly elected officers are: Margaret C. Anderson, first vice president; Dale Edington, second vice president; Nancy A. Martin, third vice president; Tony Abel, secretary, and Noel Burndahl, treasurer.

Patric B. Dawe, who has 19 years experience as an architect/urban designer in the private and public sectors, has been named director of planning for Albert C. Martin & Associates. Dawe joined the firm following three years as principal of Community Design Group in Pasadena; he also served as a principal and director of planning for the Arroyo Group in Pasadena.

Marie Osowski is the recipient of the National Estimator of the Year Award given by the American Society of Professional Estimators, becoming the first woman to be so honored. Osowski, an estimator for Custom Floors Inc., Garden Grove, has been a national ASPE officer and is serving her fourth non-consecutive term as president of the Orange County chapter.

Robert A. Stine has been elected president and chief executive officer for Collins Development Co. Prior to joining the firm, Stine was in sales and management with Coldwell Banker and has had nearly 15 years experience in the handling of real estate finance. Harry A. Collins, chairman and founder of the firm, will continue to be actively involved with the organization.

Rodger L. Hardy, former Desert Sun real estate and business editor, has formed Rodger L. Hardy Associates, a public relations firm at 255 N. El Cielo Road, Suite 262, Palm Springs.

Peter Saxon, who joined Corky McMillin Realty in 1978 as an assistant regional officer manager, has been named general manager and vice president of the firm’s resale division with headquarters at the McMillin Cos.’ corporate offices in National City.

Gary Gerson has joined TRACCO Management Corp. of California, the building management and leasing unit of Tishman Realty & Construction Inc., as director of leasing for Tishman Executive Towers, under construction in Orange.

Jonathan J. Young has joined Centre Development, San Diego, as project manager. He had previously worked as a project manager for McKellar Development of La Jolla.

Spradlin, a senior real estate analyst, have been named assistant vice presidents. Clint McMorris, an associate vice president in the South Bay office, is a new active member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors.

Kelly Jones, formerly with Holmes & Reynolds Development of San Diego and Heers Development in Phoenix, has joined Coles Communities (formerly SunWest Builders) as vice president and controller.

Jerry Johnston, formerly with M. B. Johnston Construction Co. in Palm Desert, has joined Brehm Communities, San Diego, as vice president of operations.
