Craven Seated as Southland Bankers’ Chief

Robert H. Craven, a senior vice president of Dwyer-Curlett & Co., Los Angeles-based mortgage banking concern, has been installed as the president of the Southern California Mortgage Bankers Assn., succeeding Sylvia R. Seymour.

Seymour, the group’s first woman president, joins the board of directors, along with new vice president Timothy N. Stevens, vice president-manager of Union Bank.

Other new officers are James B. Bussing, Charter Oaks Mortgage Co., secretary; Don S. Dollries, Mitsui Manufacturers Bank, treasurer, and Richard Calva, Lowell, Smith & Evers Inc., assistant treasurer.

New board members, in addition to Seymour of First Interstate Bank, are: Leslie C. Brand, First Interstate Mortgage Co.; James K. Caspar, Genstar Mortage Co.; Carrie A. Hawkins, Trinity Mortgage Co.; Tina K. Kelly, Scudder Realty Advisors Inc.; Hal D. Richmond, C. A. Larson Investment Co., and Bertram E. Thurnher, Security Pacific National Bank.
