Everything Is Fine for Underage Stevens
Scott Stevens started riding in Boise, Ida., when he was only 15.
The minimum age in the state is 16.
Five years later, Idaho racing officials found out about Stevens.
“The statute of limitations on that was seven years,” Stevens said.
So, Stevens was fined $500--$100 for each of the five years--and put on probation.
“I rode in five different states when I was 15,” Stevens said. “Luckily, the other four states let it alone and didn’t fine me like Idaho did.”
