The London Stock Exchange extended its hours.

The market floor will remain open for trading until 5 p.m., an extra 90 minutes, effective immediately. The opening time of 9 a.m. remains unchanged. Market-makers are obliged to quote firm offer and bid prices for major stocks during the entire period.
