UCLA Is Site of Pac-10 Women’s Basketball Doubleheader Tonight
Pauley Pavilion will be the site of a Pacific 10 Conference women’s basketball doubleheader tonight when USC plays Stanford at 6 p.m. and UCLA takes on California at 8.
The Trojans, 13-6 overall and 7-2 in the conference, dropped out of the Pac-10 lead and to 18th in the Associated Press poll after losing Saturday to Washington in Seattle. The Cardinal, 11-8 and 5-4, with two straight losses, and the Bruins, 12-7 and 5-4, are tied for fifth, and the Bears, 11-7 and 3-6, are eighth.
Cal State Long Beach, which has moved up to No. 4 in the national rankings, will open a two-game Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. series tonight at Hawaii. The 49ers are 19-1 and 9-0, the Rainbow Wahines 15-4 and 7-3.
