Women’s Basketball : UCLA Beats Stanford, 64-49

Five Bruins scored in double figures as UCLA ran away from Stanford in the second half en route to a 64-49 Pacific 10 win over the Cardinal Saturday night at UCLA.
The teams were tied, 25-25, at halftime, but in the second half, Stanford shot only 28% as UCLA took control of the game. Leading 34-31 with 14:32 remaining, the Bruins went on a 12-4 run to expand their lead to 46-35 with 6:51 to play.
Sheri Bouldin led UCLA with 13 points and 12 rebounds as the Bruins outrebounded Stanford, 50-36. The other Bruins in double figures were Dora Dome with 12, Sandra Vanembricos with 11 and Michele Wootton and Kristi Moore with 10.
The win moved UCLA (14-7 overall, 7-4 in conference) into a fourth-place tie with Oregon State. Kami Anderson led Stanford (11-10, 5-6) with 20 points.
