After a trip to Paris in 1982, the girls from “The Facts of Life” turn up in Australia Feb. 15 with NBC’s presentation of “The Facts of Life Down Under.” It’s a two-hour edition of the comedy series, shot on location as the characters participate in a cultural-exchange program.

George C. Scott and Don Ameche have the lead roles in “Pals,” a movie for CBS about two old Army buddies who happen across a suitcase containing more than $3 million. The film, due for a Feb. 28 airing, follows their efforts to have themselves declared dead so they can enjoy the money with new identities. Sylvia Sidney portrays Scott’s mother.

Bob Hope’s next comedy special for NBC is scheduled to air Feb. 23. It was taped in Tahiti and features a supporting cast of Jonathan Winters, John Denver, Howard Keel and Morgan Brittany.

Richard Crenna will host “Is There Life After Cancer?” an hourlong documentary that KHJ-TV Channel 9 will broadcast Feb. 22. The program aims to let viewers know of recent medical and psychological developments in the treatment of cancer that have reduced or eliminated the illness in many patients.
