About 40 women and one man have targeted the Pussycat adult theater in Oakland for their protest that pornography contributes to violence against women and children. The ad hoc Committee to Close the Pussycat said its weekend demonstration was the first of a series of actions designed to rid the San Francisco Bay Area of adult theaters. “We’re protesting how it makes us feel as women as we walk by or drive by and see the titles,” said Emily Rosen.
