A 10-week-old Canadian girl made steady strides toward recovery in her battle to survive a rare infant-to-infant heart transplant. “Baby Jessica remains in critical but stable condition,” said Anita Rockwell, spokeswoman for Loma Linda University Medical Center, where the infant received her new heart Saturday. “She is making steady progress,” Rockwell said. “There have been no complications to this hour. She’s still warm and pink, which means her heart and kidneys are functioning well.”
