The Denver Nuggets, following the lead of the Boston Celtics, will make a public offering of 2.2 million shares of stock to be traded on the American Stock Exchange, the Denver Post reported.
The story said the stock will be listed on the exchange as McNichols Entertainment Inc., and sell for about $10 per share. The Nuggets play their home games at McNichols Sports Arena.
The club’s majority owner, Sidney Shlenker, who paid $20 million for the club in May 1985, would not comment.
